Phonent ("we", "our", "the app") is an Android application that blocks incoming phone calls. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data the app accesses, how it is used, and your rights.

Data we collect

We do not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers. Phonent operates entirely on your device.

Data stored on your device

The following data is stored locally on your device and never leaves it:

• Blocked call log: Phone numbers and timestamps of blocked calls, stored in a local database.
• Whitelist: Phone numbers and contact names you add to the whitelist.
• Preferences: Your configuration settings (blocking enabled, schedule times, etc.).
• Installation date: Used locally to calculate your trial period. Stored encrypted in app preferences.

Permissions

Phonent requests the following Android permissions:

• Call Screening (BIND_SCREENING_SERVICE): Required to intercept and block incoming calls. This is the core functionality of the app.
• Read Phone State (READ_PHONE_STATE): Required to detect incoming calls.
• Read Contacts (READ_CONTACTS): Used only when you add contacts to the whitelist. Contact data is read on-demand and never stored beyond the phone number and name you explicitly add.
• Battery Optimization Exemption: Requested to ensure the call blocking service runs reliably in the background.

Google Play Billing

If you subscribe to Phonent, the transaction is processed entirely by Google Play. We do not have access to your payment information (credit card, billing address, etc.). Google may collect data as described in their Privacy Policy.

Third-party services

Phonent does not integrate any analytics, advertising, tracking, or third-party SDKs beyond Google Play Billing. There are no ads in the app.

Data sharing

We do not share any data with third parties. All data remains on your device.

Data deletion

You can delete all app data at any time by:

• Clearing the blocked call log from within the app.
• Removing whitelist entries from within the app.
• Clearing app data or uninstalling the app from your device settings.

Children's privacy

Phonent is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
